JOHNSON'S RANCH MARINA
ON CADDO LAKE

JOHNSON'S RANCH MARINA, located on Caddo Lake in Uncertain, Texas, is the oldest inland
marina still operating in the State of Texas. Caddo Lake is the only natural lake in Texas (and was
the only lake until the construction of reservoirs.) JOHNSON'S RANCH has been serving the
sportsmen of Texas since 1908.

Today, JOHNSON'S RANCH is a full service marina, supplying the sportsmen of today with boat fuel,
live bait, artificial lures, snacks, soft drinks, beer, tee shirts and other souvenirs. Canoe, kayak
and boat (with or without motors) are available. A parking lot and concrete boat launch is
easily accessible for those who want to fish, or hunt, Caddo, an outdoorsman's paradise. (Fish and game cleaning is available at additional, reasonable prices.)

KAREN'S KITCHEN, offers a menu of delicious hot and fast food, including chili dogs, subs,
hamburgers, barbeque, and more. Karen Holzman, manager of Johnson's Ranch takes pride in
providing quality food for sportsmen, local folks and visitors to Uncertain. Karen is also the 'Lady in the Know." Check with her for fishing reports, Karen's Kitchen menu additions, reservations, etc

The large covered, over-the-water pavilion adjacent to the Johnson's Ranch office presents
guests a relaxing spot to gather and socialize or fish. The pier offers a panoramic view of
Caddo's main waterway, Big Cypress Bayou, and the quaint stilt house across the bayou, called
"Dick and Charlie's Tea Room (used in the opening scene of the series, "True Blood." (Caddo Lake has served and continues to serve the film industry with a spectacular background for numerous films, documentaries and product promotions.)

During inclement weather (or televised ball games) a lounge inside the office building entices
folks at Johnson's Ranch to warm themselves near a wood-burning stove in a comfortable
setting of tables and chairs (dominoes, anyone?) Displays of memorabilia from days gone
by accent the room. And, there is free Wireless Internet! (Yes, Johnson's has gone high tech!)
